Painting and Drawing


I live and work in Cornwall and make visual studies sourcing my immediate environment. I feel it important whilst making work to use and adapt observational skills; to make both considered and expressive marks and hues, representing the Landscape, the mediums/supports and essentially myself in terms of identity, mood, feeling and concept.

I explore the landscape by making drawings, sketches, paintings, rubbings, and taking photographs. From here I further consider mark, tonal and colour relationships in correlation to my aspirations. I continually consider how my works relate, reflect, compares and contrasts to myself, who I am and how I feel. I  draw and paint from observation experimenting in response and/or independent from source materials.
